Introduction to Ableton Live at MOVE new media, A Coruña, Spain

Attend a three-day workshop held by MOVE new media, Digital Art Fair, and learn how to use the many features of Ableton Live for producing and performing live music. Luis Rozalén--journalist, producer and well-known DJ--will explain the fundamental theory and practice of using Live.

This Workshop of Electronic Music Production and Computing will cover techniques to improve your creative use of Ableton Live 7, the award-winning software especially designed for live performances, in addition to music composition and arrangement. At the end of the course, each participant will develop his or her own personal music project in Live. DJ Brunetto and Tony Blunt will also perform, demonstrating their process of music creation with Ableton Live.

Day 1: Thursday, November 13
Fundamental concepts. System components. Sequencer. Internet in music environment. Editing.

Day 2: Friday, November 14
Introduction to sampler hardware and software.
Roundtable discussion: "The Present and Future of Advanced Music."

Creation of a personal musical project.
