The "Electronic Music Workshop" was established in 1971 when the equipment comprised two Revox reel-to-reel machines, two EMS Synthis, the innards of a piano and a rack of found objects. Over the past fourteen years the emphasis has shifted toward the computer and the use of software, but it's Ableton Live that's putting the spirit of experimentation back into the Electronic Music Workshop.
