Ableton Is Happy to Present www.start-ab.com 2007

The annual Internet remix contest will take place from October 5--7, 2007.

The www.start-ab.com remix contest has been in existence since 2000. With more than 2,500 active users from all over the world, it is the biggest Internet remix contest in Europe. This year, for the first time, www.start-ab.com will be organized by the German Music School Association (Verband der Musikschulen Deutschland).

Participants will have only 48 hours to make a remix from the audio files belonging to a given track. This year musicians will remix a song from the German band Wir sind Helden. The featured track will be announced on October 5.

The audio files from the original song will be available for download at www.start-ab.com at the start of the contest. The remix must be uploaded to www.start-ab.com before the 48-hour deadline is over.

The Jury:

All tracks will be judged by a jury of prominent people. This year's jury members are Solar Penguin, DJ Caba (DJ Meeting), Andreas Kiel (EMI Publishing), Torsten Sutter (Radio NRW), Karsten Grossmann (A&R Native Instruments).
