Ableton's Three Summer Announcements

Ableton kicked off 2006 Summer NAMM with three major announcements: Live 6, Sampler and a partnership with SONiVOX (formerly Sonic Implants). Over three days, Ableton product specialists gave attendees a sneak peak of what's to come in the next incarnation of the award-winning DAW and DJ application, Live. SONiVOX also outlined the partnership with Ableton and discussed the new Essential Instrument Collection shipping with each box of Live 6. Click below for complete details on the show announcements.

Other NAMM highlights included a reception hosted by Ableton and the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus. Grammy-award-winning artist Macy Gray presented a video showing the previous day's recording session on board the Lennon Bus, where she collaborated with four local Austin high school students. The accompanying song--made entirely in Live--was created earlier that day by the students. Noted writer and remixer Francis Preve engineered the session.

Many thanks to everyone who came to the booth and Lennon Bus reception. We were overwhelmed by your response, and we hope to see you again soon.

Heaps of praise also go to the various Tex-Mex and BBQ chefs in the Austin area!
