Ableton at Decibel 2006

The Decibel Festival showcases electronic musicians and visual artists, featuring more than eighty acts over four days. This year, Ableton is participating in DB Conference, a series of workshops, product demonstrations, clinics, and panel discussions. Ableton's own Dave Hill Jr. will present a two-hour clinic covering Live's various uses, including a sneak peek at Live 6's new features and Ableton's new instrument, Sampler. This session will be geared toward experienced users of the program; however, some basic instruction will also be provided.

Dave Hill Jr. is Ableton's Director of Public and Artist Relations, and is based in New York. Nearly a decade after purchasing his first sampler, Dave discovered the joys of working with computer audio, integrating his personal drum recordings into loops and spawning a variety of unique productions. His most recent project, Brainboxing, fuses field and studio recordings into an organically flavored palette of melodies constructed entirely within Ableton Live.
