Salvatore received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he now teaches music composition for video games. His course explores the challenges of producing non-linear music for interactive media and examines the ways in which composers can create immersive experiences with sound. Outside the classroom, Salvatore offers one-on-one lessons for artists looking to improve their production skills, learn to perform their music live or make music and sound for visual media.

Salvatore has a growing discography of solo work with multiple releases under his own name. His sonic collages combine acoustic instrumentation, field recordings and intricate sound design with his unique style of organic electronic music.
