Franklin "el medico" Rodriguez

Franklin Rodríguez, aka El Medico, graduated from the Miami Campus of SAE Institute in 2002. After graduation, he became a supervisor at the school; a year later he was promoted to instructor and currently works at SAE full-time.

He is the official Pro Tools Certified Instructor at SAE Miami and also teaches Surround Sound, Sound-To-Picture, and SSL and Oxford large-format consoles.

Aside from his full-time position, he works freelance in sound design, live sound, and as a mixing and recording engineer and producer. In 2004 he did sound design for the movie Bloodline, an urban drama filmed in Miami. In 2007, he established himself as an engineer in the genre of reggaeton/urban Latin music and earned a Latin Grammy and Grammy nomination as an engineer on the Daddy Yankee album, El Cartel: The Big Boss. He has done work for artists such as Don Omar, Tego Calderón, Voltio, Notch, Arcangel, Angel y Khriz, Caribbean Connection, Jimmy Flavorr, and Gocho. He has worked on a wide variety of successful music, television, and other media projects. Frank is currently pushing the dubstep genre in the Latin market and has done several dubstep remixes for artists in Mexico and abroad, including Milkman, Niña Dioz, and Mr. Power, from Venezuela—among many other projects.

Currently Frank is head engineer at Vanquish Studios in Davie Florida. Vanquish is a new state-of-the-art facility providing professional audio services.
