Dustin uses Live, Push, and Max/MSP in a variety of settings, from a “traditional” tracking DAW, to flexible live accompaniment with bands, to audio/visual installations, and as a creative tool for composition both live and in the studio. He also uses Live in his solo and ensemble performances as Young Weather, creating electro-acoustic textural music in a variety of venues. Dustin is always working on ways to bring Live’s “in the box” elements to visual, kinetic, and “out of the box” physical controls - to stand alongside acoustic and percussive instruments.

He has presented sound installations and lectures at Ableton Loop 2018 in Los Angeles, OK Contemporary Gallery, and OKC Museum of Art. He writes and performs music as Young Weather.

Dustin was a professor of music production at the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma from 2010-2019, has been an Ableton Certified Trainer since 2014, and is an active studio engineer, live, and session musician. He now lives in Atlanta, U.S., and works for Ableton as Americas Education Specialist.
