Marcello Ruggiu (Milan)

Marcello began his career as a poly-intrumentalist in 1994. In 2005, he earned a degree in audio engineering from the SAE Institute in Milan. He has focused on live and studio recording and is very interested in electronic production (IDM, Breakbeat, Drum and Bass). As soon as Marcello disovered Live, he began using it in clubs around Milan. Marcello mixes a deep knowledge of Live with strong skills as a MIDI programmer and controllerist. He taught in the SAE Live class collective and has collaborated with Giancarlo Lanza (one of the Live pioneers in Italy). In cooperation with SAE staff and teachers, Marcello has been teaching certificate-level SAE courses in electronic music production and DJ techniques. These courses are strongly aimed at production and live performance, and for several years, Ableton Live has been used as the main software in the courses. Marcello covers the range of Ableton Live topics, from basic elements to advanced music production techniques and using Live in live performance.

Marcello Ruggiu's classes typically have about 15-20 students, and he is always available to help students in training and practice with Live.
