Ableton Live Clinic at Decibel Festival in Seattle
Ableton Live Clinic at Decibel Festival in Seattle: "Electronic Music Production and Performance with Ableton Live".
Join us for an afternoon of exploring how to create and perform music with Ableton Live. Seattle's own Dave Hill Jr. will be on hand to demonstrate common ways artists use the program to achieve their musical goals. Topics include using Live's device racks to create simple or complex performance instruments, synchronizing Live to work with analog hardware synthesizers, and tips for channel routing for performance. The clinic is open to all ranges of expertise with time allotted for questions (and, with luck, answers).
Dave Hill Jr. manages Ableton's US office in New York City and helps to direct Ableton's marketing and sales efforts worldwide. His book Ableton Live 2 Power! was the first book ever published about Ableton Live. As a drummer and electronic musician, Hill has played a wide variety musical circumstances including collaborations with artists such as Michael Shrieve (Santana), Shawn Pelton (SNL Band), Brad Houser (Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians) and James Rotondi (Air). As a writer, Hill has contributed to many magazines over the years; a short list includes Remix, Mix, Electronic Musician, Music Tech (UK), Future Music and Modern Drummer.
