Ableton Sponsors Hip Hop Producer's Showcase
Ableton and M-Audio are proud to announce their sponsorship of the iStandard Producer's Showcase. This unique event provides budding unsigned hip-hop/R&B producers with a direct link to the music industry's top record label A&R reps, platinum producers, attorneys, and artists. During the showcase, producers play selections from five of their best tracks. They are then rated by a panel of judges on the basis of originality, marketability, usage of sound elements, and fidelity. The winner each month receives a plethora of industry related prizes, including a copy of Ableton Live 5 and an M-Audio Trigger Finger.
Previous judges and attendees include Kawan Prather (Sr. VP A&R, Urban/Sony BMG), Lenny Santiago (VP A&R, Roc-a-Fella/Def Jam), Conrad Dimanche (Sr. VP A&R, Bad Boy), Easy Mo Bee (producer for Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Big Daddy Kane), Dame Grease (producer for DMX), Bonsu (editor in chief of XXL), and Jerry Barrow (editor in chief, Scratch magazine).
