If you have questions, problems or other issues related to ordering at the Ableton Webshop that are not covered below, please contact Customer Care.
Shopping at the Ableton Webshop is simple and easy. Just follow the few steps below:
1. Select productsBrowse the product pages and select the item(s) you would like to order by clicking "Add to cart." This leads you automatically to the shopping cart page. You can always see your cart status in the main navigation's "Shopping" section.
2. Check your shopping cart and go to checkout
Once you are on the shopping cart page, you can view the detail of the items you selected. You can also specify potential options, such as the Live manual's language. When you are ready to proceed with your order, click on the "Checkout" button.
3. Enter your personal details and address information
Fill in your personal information and address. In the event you are a registered user and already logged in, this information displays automatically. You can change this information if it is incorrect or out of date. Note that this will not modify your user profile. If you would like your order shipped to an address other than your billing address, please specify by filling in the "shipping address" section.
4. Review your order
This page shows all details regarding your purchase. When relevant, shipping costs are also displayed and you can then view the total amount of your order. Please check to see if everything is correct — you can still change all the information displayed on this page. When you are finished, check the box to confirm that you agree with the General Terms and Conditions, and then click the "Proceed to payment" button at the bottom of the page.
5. Enter your credit card information
Fill in your credit card details: card number, expiration date and CSC Code. CSC is the three-digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of your card immediately after the card's account number. Complete the process by clicking on "Submit Order."
Note that by clicking this button, you authorize us to charge your credit card.
6. Receive your order confirmation
If your order is approved, your order confirmation and your serial number appear immediately on your screen. Your serial number and all relevant information concerning your order will also be sent by e-mail within seconds after the transaction is complete.
If for some reason your order is not approved you will also be notified directly on screen.
To buy products from our online shop or to log in to your customer account, it is necessary for your Internet browser to accept cookies.
Cookies are small files that are placed on your computer by our server. They are used to keep in memory the products you add to your shopping cart. These cookies never store any sensitive information (such as your name, e-mail, credit card number, etc.).

If you purchased software products through our webshop using a credit card, you will receive your serial number by e-mail within seconds after the transaction is complete.
If you chose pre-payment, we will process your order manually and send your serial number as soon as we receive your payment.
Your order will be shipped by UPS Standard or FedEx, depending on your country of residence:
US and Canadian customers: Ableton ships all boxes from California (FedEx expedited).
All other territories: Ableton ships from Berlin, Germany via UPS.
Shipping is free for all orders over EUR 400/USD 500.

For download products, a serial number will be sent via e-mail, usually within seconds. As soon as you receive your serial number, all products are available for download right away.
For other items, we usually dispatch the physical shipment within one working day after sending the serial number.
US and Canadian customers: FedEx will send you an e-mail with information about delivery time.
All other territories: Ableton ships from Germany via UPS. UPS provides a service to calculate the delivery time.
US and Canadian Customers: FedEx will normally send you an e-mail with your tracking number, which allows you to track your order online. If you did not receive a FedEx tracking number, please contact customercare@ableton.com for tracking information.
All other territories: UPS will normally send a dispatch notification to your e-mail address as soon as your order is shipped. This e-mail includes a tracking number and a link to the tracking page at the UPS website. If you did not receive a UPS tracking number, please contact customercare@ableton.com for tracking information.
Our webshop prices for purchases in the EU include 19% VAT, except for physical goods shipped to the UK, which include 17.5% VAT.
In most other countries, import duties and taxes are collected when the shipment crosses the border and vary according to the laws of that country. These duties and taxes are collected/invoiced by the shipping carrier (UPS/FedEX/postal service).
In the US we don't charge additional sales tax except in the following states:
- California: 7.25% of the sale price of physical goods shipped to California (7.375% in Benicia, CA)
- New York: 7% on all products, including shipping costs
Import duties and taxes are to be paid by the recipient. These are not included in the total amount of the order because there is no way we can calculate them when orders are placed.
All Ableton products come with a full 2-year-warranty. For all third-party products, you are eligible for full manufacturer warranty.

Information on Your Right of Withdrawal
Your Right of Withdrawal
You can revoke your declaration of intention to conclude the contract without stating any reasons within one (1) month in written form, e.g. letter, fax, E-mail or by returning the goods received to the return address on your delivery note. The revocation period starts when you receive an E-mail confirming your order and in the case of delivery of goods, on the day on which you receive the goods. The relevant date for providing notice of withdrawal is the date of sending (or declaring). You must send written notice of the withdrawal to: Ableton AG, Schoenhauser Allee 6-7, 10119 Berlin, Germany, Fax: +49 30 288 763 13, customercare@ableton.com, www.ableton.com. All goods received must be sent to the return address on your delivery note.
Consequences of the Exercise of Your Right of Withdrawal
In case of an effective withdrawal, all goods and services received by each party are to be returned to the respective other, along with any benefits derived. If you cannot return the goods received in whole or in part or if the received goods have been damaged in any way, you are obliged to compensate this deterioration in value. This rule does not apply, however, if the sole cause of deterioration was inspection of the good(s), as would have been possible in a retail shop. There is also no need to pay compensation if you have not treated the goods as your own property and have not used or damaged the goods in any way. You are obliged to cover the costs of returning the goods if the value of your order is less than Forty Euros (40 EUR) and provided that the good(s) delivered do actually correspond to the good(s) you ordered. If you are an EU-resident and the value of your order exceeds Forty Euros (40 EUR), the cost of returning the goods will be borne by Ableton.
Special Note for Software
Your right of withdrawal expires as soon as Ableton has provided you with serial numbers for the software.
We strongly recommend against sending sensitive data via e-mail unencrypted. If you don't wish to call or send the information via fax (which is safe), please use secure e-mail communication through the established standard of asymmetrical encryption, as defined in RFC 2440 (OpenPGP).
There are two possible ways for you to obtain our public key using the Key ID 0x05FD7E63:
- Visit a key server such as http://blackhole.pca.dfn.de and search for "Ableton Orders."
- Ask us to send you our public key via e-mail.
We accept inline as well as multipart MIME (application/pgp-encrypted) mails.
