Yes, Live purchased with an educational discount has the same capabilities as Live purchased for the full price. The only restriction: educational versions of Live can only be resold to students or teachers with proof of educational status. |

Students are eligible for educational pricing for one month after graduation. Teachers are eligible for educational pricing for one month after the end of their employment contract. After that, you're not a student or teacher anymore, so no, you don't qualify. |

You can upgrade educational versions of Live (and extend it with add-on products) at standard pricing. As of Live 8 we no longer offer educational discounts on upgrades or add-on products. We continue to provide an educational discount of 40% on new licenses. |

Educational licenses can only be resold to students or teachers who qualify for educational pricing. In other words, the buyer must provide Ableton with proof of his or her educational status (a copy of their student or faculty ID together with a piece of government-issued ID, such as a driver's license). No, part-time is OK, too. To qualify for educational pricing, you need to show that you teach or study for a minimum of 20 hours per week, or that you're enrolled in a dedicated Ableton Live course. Read more about eligibility. |
