It's a quick-n-dirty way of getting some cool step sequencing sounds out of Live 5. This will at one point become a proper tutorial, but for now I'd like to hear your opinions, and maybe improve it a bit if neccesary.

Hope you like it as much as I did - I've added a few notes to help you understand the routing a bit better.

Hehe, this is neat. takes some tricky mouse movements to tweak it live. I moved the scale effect from track uh, 16 was it? 17? to the nusk bass track. Recorded live tweaking notes and trying to switch scale presets on beat. I had some params in chord and the delay set to sliders on a controller. Neat.

Its a little slow to work with, but all kinds of things can be hijacked with a controller or something. Neat stuff.

yeah, the main advantage of having track 17 is that all the chords and such get recorded as standard midi notes in the synth track, so you can export from there.

And it is *definitely* meant for midi controller. Mousing it takes several passes to get it flowing properly, I find.

i resampled 3 instances of step sequenced live tweaking. Threw in some busted loops.

I find it awesome for bass lines and some tech house styling.

Ups to this great idea. Though, one thing to do is to try different lengths of notes in the sequencer. This gives even more of a twist and difference.

Yes. The best way of doing this right now is modulating the decay of the instrument you're triggering. We need a midi delay plugin, and a note transform function that can stretch notes or whatever in real-time for this

Also, how cool would it be if you could group tracks and just load this rig at will? that'd be sick!

There's also some more cool stuff you can do with this setup:

if you copy your clips in an new scene in reversed order (clip 1 goes to 16, 2 > 15, etc.) you can instandly play your sequence backwards.
put it in random order or do what ever you want with this clips and you can have a lot of fun throwing in some breaks by just hitting the next scene...
