I know about the max single audio file size of 2GB in Live
Isn't it just a Windows thing? "Was" actually? Back to 32bit days?
@CCMP is talking about the Push 3 Standalone, and that's a Linux based OS. That OS doesn't have a 2GB limitation as far as I know. So I don't understand what @CCMP means with the 2GB limitation in Live while his question is about the Push 3 Standalone.
The 2GB thing is not really relevant tbh... I don't think I'll have a single file anywhere near 2GB anyway... I was more interested in knowing if there's a maximum size for a project/set that I have to keep in mind.

The available space on your unit's SSD :wink:

@jur Did you already get an answer from development?

This is somewhat easily testable, no? Just try to load more than 8GB worth of audio into a project in standalone or make one on desktop and transfer it over. You can render silence or six hours of a drum pattern or take a .wav recording of a dj set or something, then make renamed copies of whatever dummy audio you're using.

I'd try it myself if I had the time! Curious to hear the outcome on this.

Would not be surprised if project size isn't limited by the ram, though...

Of course you can test it, but I really like to hear it from the developers.

@jur anything heard yet?

@jur One week later.......still no replay from the developers? Looks to me this is very easy to answer , just yes or no.

Patience, nothing happens quickly at Ableton at the moment. Especially with all the work going on trying to get Live 12 out the door.

Patience for a answer on a very simple question? I already waited long enough.

I bought a 2300,- Push 3, and for that money people may expect good support and not the standard replies like 'patience' and 'nothing happens quickly at Ableton'. I own a lot of hardware/software but never the support was so bad. I really regret buying the Push 3 for this reply alone.

We've asked the developers, and if we had an answer already, we would give it to you. But we don't. We're waiting for a reply too, not sure what else you expect us to do.

This is not an official support outlet, it's just a forum for users to share ideas about Live and help each other out. And here we are trying to help you out and only getting snarky replies in exchange. If this issue is that critical for you, submit a support request and wait for the official support team to get back to you then:

A support request is not possible without adding log-files, as I replied earlier in this thread. And this question doesn't need log-files, so no support request possible.
