Your mission

Ableton is looking for a new Technical Support Agent in our office in Pasadena, CA.  You’ll join a diverse team – many of which are musicians and Live users. Your job will be to provide attentive, friendly and flexible customer support. This requires self-motivation, the ability to look at issues from a customer's perspective and an interest in improving the overall user experience.  We're looking for someone with background in customer support who understands customer's needs and motivations, along with a working knowledge of Ableton products and a broader range of music technology.

Your role

You provide top quality customer support in this role. Your knowledge of Ableton products and ability to communicate solutions keeps our users happily making music. You are always looking for ways to improve the customer experience, and you help make these a reality.

Your tasks

  • Answering customer inquiries via phone and email
  • Providing customer assistance with technical issues and usability questions
  • Filing, tracking, and gathering information about technical issues
  • Assisting with maintenance and updates to self-service resources for Ableton’s customers
  • Distributing customer feedback to Ableton teams and project managers
  • Collaborating with other Ableton teams to create the best customer experience

Your profile

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Adaptable and responsive to feedback
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented working habits
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Windows and macOS platforms
  • Moderate technical knowledge of Ableton products

What would make you stand out

  • Experience offering customer service via phone, email, chat, or other mediums
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Deep knowledge of advanced techniques using Live and Push
  • Familiarity with the current audio hardware and software landscape
  • Proficiency programming in Max/MSP or other programming languages
  • Beta testing experience (other than Ableton Live)
