Your mission

We at Ableton build products that shape the future of music culture. Our products include Live: a digital audio workstation, Link: a technology to keep music making software in sync, and Push: a hardware instrument for making music. We’re looking for developers with an extensive knowledge of DSP programming and C++ to help us evolve and build our products. You will work in a team with other developers, designers, and product specialists to implement features incrementally, with continuous integration available to test and verify changes. You will take part in planning the development work and decision making. You’ll be instrumental in advancing our products, processes and company culture.

Your responsibilities

  • You design, test, and implement new instruments, effects and software features
  • You implement audio algorithms for audio processing and musical instruments
  • You work with user interface and user experience designers to refine their ideas through discussion and by building working prototypes
  • You help product owners plan features by advising them about technical factors
  • You participate in ensuring the long-term maintainability of our code base
  • You engage in technical, product and organizational activities to improve the way we work

Your profile

  • You have an extensive knowledge of C++ and real time Audio Programming and show a strong interest in learning advanced DSP techniques
  • You have proficient communication skills and collaborate empathetically in a team environment
  • You can quickly prototype and iterate on product designs in an Agile environment
  • You are interested in engaging with all phases of product development, from prototyping to the UI implementation
  • You seek out feedback, self-reflect, and can determine what to learn to get better at your role
  • You are interested in music technology
