Hardware Quality Assurance Engineer (d/f/m)

Your mission
As we further develop our hardware team, we want to find an experienced hardware QA engineer with technical expertise, a hands-on approach and managerial skills. You will be working with hardware engineering, the quality assurance and supply chain management teams to make our hardware QA the best it can be.
Your responsibilities
Hardware Development QA:
- You will support the development of new hardware products from a quality perspective by defining test plans and developing test tools
- You will support engineering runs and pilot runs on-site at the factory
- You will actively collaborate with different teams including engineering, designers, software developers, supply chain management / logistics and stakeholders to help meet build requirements, especially in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness
- You will help define acceptance criteria for features of our products
Hardware Production QA:
- You will support the production management during mass production
- You will develop methodologies for testing and approving components or fully assembled units in high-volume manufacturing
- You will troubleshoot issues that arise for the contracted manufacturer during mass production
Hardware Maintenance QA:
- You will maintain parity between the production quality of samples and mass production quantities, based on specifications and reference samples
- You will carry out root cause analysis with contracted manufacturers and suppliers in Asia
- You will investigate product issues and support tickets, and create detailed reports for the development team
Your profile
- You have several years of hands-on experience testing consumer, audio or medical electronic devices
- You have experience with high-volume manufacturing testing
- You are familiar with acoustical and electrical test equipment and procedures (including audio precision, dScope)
- You have experience with devices including haptic user interfaces such as MIDI controllers, audio interfaces, loudspeakers, headphones
- You have experience with factory audits, AQL, and factory testing
- You have experience with mechanical quality assurance of consumer and audio electronic devices (plastic injection, silicone, metal) and understand the requirements of industrial design
- You have expertise in handling quality issues in production, and troubleshooting with manufacturing partners and suppliers
- You are a strong communicator, willing to take on responsibility and make decisions when necessary
- You feel comfortable to work in a small team and collaborate with other teams to achieve a common goal
