Your role

Ableton has made steady progress in Japan since the establishment of a Japanese sales and marketing team in 2017. To build on progress made, Ableton is looking for a full-time Marketing Lead to strengthen the development, production and rollout of key marketing initiatives in collaboration with other stakeholders in Ableton’s Japanese team. You will measure your success in this role through effective collaboration with colleagues, solid process-driven execution of agreed-upon goals and positive impact on Ableton’s brand in Japan.

Your tasks

  • Administer the production and rollout of marketing assets to the Japanese community of partners and users
  • Support Japanese sales and marketing efforts by overseeing and actioning a prioritized backlog of marketing measures, both online and offline
  • Generate and perfect creative briefs for both internal and external production partners
  • In concert with colleagues in Ableton’s Asia Pacific and HQ teams, coordinate rollouts for all market-relevant content, initiatives and releases to Japanese partners and users
  • Coordinate the delivery of all Japanese-language mass communication measures to users via social media, newsletters and other key communication platforms
  • Provide preparatory, on-site and follow-up support for events and activations organized by the Japanese sales and marketing team
  • Work closely with stakeholders in the Japanese team to assess the impact of the team’s marketing efforts and contribute to their continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the team’s increased understanding of digital marketing in Japan by leading impactful online initiatives

Your profile

  • 5 or more years of marketing experience in creative industries or related fields, both online and offline
  • 3 or more years of leadership experience in agile project teams
  • Familiarity with aspects Ableton’s community and the overall music scene in Japan
  • Passion for drawing data-driven conclusions to powerful research questions
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design practice and processes
  • Understanding of Ableton’s product portfolio and business model
  • Working proficiency in both English and Japanese
  • Open to occasional travel within and outside Japan
