How to create a Live Status Report?

  • Live Versions: 8.2 - 9
  • Operating System: ALL

A Status Report is a file containing information about your setup and a log of what Live has done since it was last opened. This file will help Ableton Support to investigate technical issues on your system.

To create a Status Report Pack, choose "Get Support..." from Live's Help menu.

Help Menu -> Get Support...

When you create a Status Report Pack, a Lesson will open in Live that contains a link to the Pack. Clicking this link will open the folder on your computer where the Pack was created, so you can retrieve it.

The Packs get created in the following locations:

/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Live Reports/

Windows Vista, 7, 8

\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live Reports\

Windows XP

\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Ableton\Live Reports\

If you want to navigate to those folders and cannot find them, please learn how to access hidden folders on Windows and Mac OS X.
