Tom Carlile

Tom Carlile teaches Ableton Live classes and workshops at Dub Academy, Austin, Texas.

He uses Ableton Live to create music and sound effects for video games, short films, and sample packs.

Starting in the late 90’s with Roland synthesizers and hardware sequencers, Tom has seen the analog world evolve into the digital frontier with the advent of DAW’s. He came across Ableton Live 6 and has used it ever since.

Using performer monikers of EazyT and Dr. StrangeLube, Tom produces glitch-hop and is actively collaborating with new artists on highly classified bass technology rumored to be from a crashed alien spacecraft. Tom also organizes regional BurningMan festivals.

Tom became a Certified Ableton Live 8 Trainer in 2011, and Certified for Ableton Live 9 & Push in 2013. He holds a Business degree from The University of Texas and speaks English and Japanese.
