Ryan Kull (Los Angeles, CA)
Ryan Kull is an electronic musician, engineer, and professional instructor from Los Angeles. He obtained his Audio Technology Diploma at SAE Los Angeles, and before finishing his studies was running their Electronic Music Production program and instructing in a multitude of subjects.
Since 2001, Ryan has created original music and film scores with a diverse list of artists, including George Clinton, Jerome Dillon (Nine Inch Nails), Photek, Bad Company UK, Gridlok and members of LA Riots and Villains, among others. His single with Gridlok ("Snap the Whip" on CIA recordings) topped the Beatport and Juno drum & bass charts, and was chosen by d&b legend Goldie as one of his top 10 tracks for the year. Moving into 2011, Ryan's new project "Kuru" has a release coming on the seminal American dubstep imprint, Smog, with many more en route.
His love for futuristic, bleeding-edge beats from techno to dubstep is a perfect match for the free-form expressiveness of Ableton Live, and he has been sequencing with the program extensively since version 5. Ryan feels a personal responsibility to help people make better electronic music, and he is very excited to do so as an Ableton Certified Trainer. His expertise includes instruction in sound design, synthesis, sampling, arrangement, MIDI technology and related subjects.
Currently, Ryan is available for private and group instruction in the western United States.
Please note: Ableton Certified Trainers are neither employees nor agents of Ableton. The trainers are solely responsible for their own course offerings and curricula. Ableton takes no responsibility or liability for the actions of the trainers.
