Tech Music School (London)
Since its founding in 1983, Tech Music School (TMS) has established itself as a market leader in popular music education and training, focusing on the achievement of technical excellence across a wide range of musical disciplines. TMS is one of the first schools in Europe offering a BMus (Hons) in Popular Music Performance degree. Current courses available include One Year BTEC National Diploma in Popular Music Performance, One Year BTEC National Diploma in Music Production, BMus (Hons) in Popular Music Performance, BA (Hons) in Music Business, BA (Hons) in Songwriting & BA (Hons) in Music Production. The School currently offers private lessons and 10 week part-time courses in vocals, drums and guitar, songwriting, music production, DJ techniques and EDM / urban music. Studying with us enables students to become part of a wide-ranging student body of musicians, producers, performers, business specialists and songwriters at TMS. This gives students an opportunity to integrate, network and build musical partnerships and collaborations with other students studying on programmes at TMS. TMS prides itself on its high quality teaching which supports the development of technically accomplished, creative and versatile practitioners who are equipped for a sustainable career in an ever changing industry. All our tutors are active professional practitioner’s, well-placed to provide students with first-hand advice and guidance on the requirements of the music industry. We encourage a holistic approach to music education and through this approach enable our student’s to interpret a wide range of concepts, techniques and skills with authenticity and authority. For many years we have worked closely with our educational partners the London College of Music – part of the University of West London, in delivering high quality music education.

Ableton Live is embedded into the curriculum on many of the courses at TMS and represents a key cornerstone of learning at TMS. On our Music Production, DJ techniques and EDM / urban music courses Live & Max for Live forms a central focus of all learning. Live’s real time manipulation, composition and performance features are exploited whilst studying on our Music Performance & Songwriting courses.
