Tom Lonsborough

Tom is a lecturer at SEM Manchester and has been with the school since 2006. He was one of the first to take part in Ableton's Certified Training program back in 2008, and has been the school's Certified Trainer ever since.

On top of running dedicated Ableton Live courses and delivering lectures on a range of topics at SEM, Tom has run Live workshops for the BBC, taught DJing in secondary schools, carried out product demos for Ableton, demo'd kit for Lamba at various shows nationwide, and worked for the Manchester-based record label, PAPER Recordings.

Tom’s had releases on Mercury, PAPER, WeAreWoodville, 3AM, Stoney Boy, and Deep Space. He performs, releases, and remixes with his production outfit/band 2 Billion Beats and his band Lynch, has had DJ residencies all over Manchester, and ghost-produces for a range of clients when he’s not working for SEM.

Tom can help with any aspect of Live, music production, or performance. He is the head tutor for Music Production at SEM and is responsible for developing the Live-based curriculums for the school.
