The products of two artistic journeys can be radically different, even if they start at exactly the same point. As soon as background, technique and intent differ, the individual approach and process become the deciding factor.
So, given a sound, and a day to make something out of it, what would you do? And how would your work compare with that of others from around the world? Find out by taking part in Start Here, a sample challenge hosted by musician and YouTuber Andrew Huang.
The challenge: on Friday Nov. 9th, download a single audio file to use as the starting point for an original 90 second composition.
The catch: you only have 12 hours to produce your track and upload it to our server.
The result: on Saturday, Nov. 10th, watch the Start Here live stream from Loop, when Andrew Huang (who’s done this kind of thing before) and his panel participants Ebonie Smith and Nick Weiss will present and discuss their own versions as well as listen to a selection of tracks submitted from around the world – yours could be one of them.
If you would like to participate, here’s all the info you need.
