You can use VST Plug-ins in Live only while running Live as ReWire master or as a stand-alone application.
It is not possible to drag MIDI grooves from EZdrummer into a MIDI clip slot of Live 8.
When loading a VST plug-in Live, loads another plug-in or the wrong version of a plug-in instead.
A VST/AU plug-in does not appear in the VST browser on OSX Intel Mac.
Live menus and VST plug-in windows are not correctly drawn.
When routing MIDI tracks to a track containing a plug-in or a multi-output plug-in, freezing these MIDI tracks is not possible and the message “The track 'x-MIDI' has no audio output to freeze” is shown.
Live does not support Direct X Plug-ins. Live does support VST Plug-ins, however. Please see if there is a VST version of the plug-in you wish to use.
Constant crashes at start-up during plug-in scanning.
For most VST and AU plug-ins, Configure Mode works without problems. Some plug-ins, however, don't correctly notify Live about their parameters. Here are some potential problems and workarounds:
