3rd party Remote Scripts stop working after Live update.

  • Live Versions: 6 - 9
  • Operating System: ALL

Symptom

  • 3rd party Remote Scripts stop working after updating Live.
  • The Scripts are not listed anymore in the Control Surface menu in the MIDI/Sync tab of Live's Preferences.

Reason

3rd party Python Remote Scripts which have been manually installed into the Live application/resources folder (e.g. Maschine) are not copied automatically into the respective folder of a new Live version.

Solution

Install the Remote Script again as described in the documentation of the controller.
