Why use VST's like Saturator or Reverb instead of the Ableton-Effects?

Hello Guys,

I am sure that you know, that there are tons of VST's, which contains several Plug-Ins like Reverb, Chorus or Saturator.

Many Musicians show these VST's in their Youtube-Tutorials, instead of using the Ableton Saturator or Chorus or ....

So my question is, why should I use a VST instead of the Ableton Effect? Often there are the same or less tweaks.

Thankfully

An ableton user ;)

There are lots of ways to make a given effect. Use the Ableton one if you like it and how it works/sounds, and use different ones if you prefer how they do.

For example, I like the Ableton reverb for electronic sounds, but for acoustic sounds I prefer a certain VST reverb, which I feel sounds more natural. But for saturation or chorus, I haven't yet found a plugin that I wanted to use more than the Ableton ones, so I stick with them.

It's all about picking the right tool for the job.
