Sound Drop Out and background shhhh noise

Hi, I'm at my wits end trying to fix this problem.

Sound has suddenly started to cut out and there is an occasional shhhh sound in the background.

CPU is around 21%

I've tried the ASIO settings on my soundcard (Soundcard: Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP) from 512 (working fine) to 1024/2048

The only change I made to my track, was to add Waves MaxxBass to a channel and Install Max For Live Version 7.1. I'm not using any MaxForLive instruments

I have removed MaxxBass, still have the same issue.

I've got 64G of RAM so that's not a problem.

Driver Type is ASIO / ASIO Saffire.

Many thakns in advance.

Hi, no idea if this helps, but recently i had a similar yet unrelated problem. If you've dragged the audio track from another source, check its sample rate and bit depth and try matching Ableton to those settings, again, assuming you didn't record the track in Ableton.

This may not solve your issue, but it's worth trying anyway, just in case, as this was an issue for me using an H6 Zoom connected via ASIO, and the settings for both weren't matched, and i had buzzing and drop out issues.

Does this noise manifest itself on other applications or just Ableton ? Does Mix Control show up anything so you can identify what channel the noise is coming from ?

The demo period for one of my VST's had ended, so was creating the dropouts
