Sinc two laptops via ethernet?

I have looked a lot around but still no definite answer on how to sync two laptops with Ableton Live installed to get that perfect synchronisation between them. I've tried MIDI but things shifted away from each other after a while. Some people mention ethernet but looks complicated. Any fresh suggestions? Thanks for any info.

Picture this: two people, two laptops running Ableton Live, one person triggers rhythm loops, the other melodies and arpegiator sounds. All perfectly synchronized. But how? Eternet? It has to be flawless for a live situation. Is it clear?

my band mates and i use three laptops and have one master drum machine sending midi to a midi splitter then to our soundcards, it works to some degree but its pretty easy to get out of time with each other... so im am also very intrested in this answer...

If there an ableton article explaining how to sync without using WLAN? Using midi, or preferably, ethernet as was suggested? There are many performance situations (and my current rehearsal situation) with unreliable, or weak connection.

Have you looked at the iConnectivity MIDI interfaces? I haven't used one yet but I've been looking at them. http://www.iconnectivity.com
