Push 2, Audio Tracks and drum loop audio files.

Am I not supposed to be able to use Audio track clip slots for loading loops? The manual is not clear on this. It's something I've always done.

With an audio track selected, I click browse and expect to be able to load an audio file or a clip. This does not seem to be the case.

Is Push geared toward a midi track +devices workflow?

What is the purpose/use of Audio tracks in Push (apart from recording into them)?

I think it would be helpful of Ableton to be clear on what Push is not/does not do, in regards to Live's very open and flexible nature.

I am willing to learn new ways of working with Live, but do I need to "unlearn" first?

The beta version of 9.5 has the ability to add audio loops and preview so it is coming. If you want the beta versions you can sign up as a tester and download to try it out. Basically once your in a track press 'clip' and then browse/preview for a loop or sample from any folder on your drive.

My thoughts as well!  Does All Audio have to go through an Instrument or Rack to be viewable in the Browser?

I'm new to Ableton and the Push, but *think* I'm having the same problem. Wondering if this is what you're describing:

I would love to be able to add *Audio* drum loops from my collection of drum samples using the Push. Right now if I click BROWSE on an audio track I don't get access to my own drum loop sample folder, even though I've linked to it in PLACES. But, strangely, if I click browse while on a midi track I DO get access to my own drum loop sample folder but it loads it as a simpler sample. So then I have to play the sample using midi instead of having it automatically loop as audio. Seems strange that you have access to your AUDIO samples only from a midi track and not while in an AUDIO track. Is that what you're experiencing or am I describing a different issue?? (And if it is a different issue, with a simple solution, I would love any suggestions!)
