Need help figuring out why tracks won't trigger even though Ableton sees the input

I have an old Oxygen8 midi controller and have set some notes to trigger different scenes for my worship set. When I press a key, the MIDI Track In indicator lights up so it's receiving the signal, but the scenes don't fire.

It has to be something very simple that I'm missing because this worked before I updated my laptop to Windows 8 and had to reinstall Ableton. I'm sure it's just a setting somewhere but I just can't find it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, all.

Happy New Year.

    Did you select the correct midi controller in the Live midi preferences?
    Also check the activated midi inputs and outputs, to make sure everything is sent and received through the correct channels.

    the only thing i can think of is making sure you arm the midi track you want to control;

    that is the button with the black dot under your track-fader. it should turn red when you arm it.
