My audio files get transposed to the wrong octave and/or sound different in pitch when importing

How do I get Ableton not to do this?

My audio files get transposed to the wrong octave and/or sound different in pitch when importing... I am very frustrated about this. Can someone please help me? I have turned off Warping and it is still too high, or low but never sound how it sounds when I preview the original in the finder or when I just play it from iTunes, etc.

Thanks!

(This is Ableton Live 8)

have same problem.  I've been working with Live couple of years now.  I was working on a set and suddenly all my imported audio files (vocals) sound one whole tone higher.  I moved them to new tracks but no luck.  Deleted all the audio vocals and reimported them: same problem.  Using the transpose function results in terrible sound.
All my audio clips are set to complex pro.

    What is going on here?
