Mouse behaving oddly in Live 9

I have just updated to Live 9 and the mouse functions seem to be all over the place. I am running Live on a MacBook Pro and use a bluetooth mighty mouse as well as the trackpad on the laptop and both seem to behave very strangely when I right click, try to change the level of any fader/parameter or when I try to change the velocity in a midi clip. Both the trackpad and the mighty mouse behave the same. The mouse functions in any other application work fine. Any ideas on how I fix this?

I had this problem too and I think I got a firm solution.

Firstly yes, display scaling to 100% and 125% will fix it but that scaling will affect all apps and also the OS desktop and such making them hard to read or use.

Find the Ableton 'Live' exe, right click, choose 'properties' and under 'compatibility' check 'disable display scaling'.

Now the rest of Windows 10 can remain readable but the Ableton faders and rotaries will function as they should.

This happened to me, just follow this step

    - Create a Options.txt file and place it in the Ableton preferences folder (In WIN vista/7/8: users\appdata\roaming\Ableton\ live [Your version]\ Preferences) (IN OSX: Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live[your version of live]/

Just make sure its in the SAME folder as the preferences.cfg file

    - Put the following text in this Options.txt:

    -AbsoluteMouseMode

I experienced this problem running Ableton 9.5 on Windows 10 Home 64 bit. For me the Options file made no difference, but going in to System>Display and selecting a setting of 100% under Change the size of text, apps and other items solved it. (I had it set to 125% previously.)

Same issue, but it's doing it right now -- not sorted out for me unfortunately...

I have the same problem trying to control faders, volume, and zoom on Windows 8.1.  I went to that post above, I was already set with -AbsoluteMouseMode but I did it again.  It did not change anything.

There has to be another fix for this.

If you still need help with the Abelton mouse issue , you have to change the size settings on your computer to a 100% or a 125% in windows.  This was my problem.

Control panel/appearance an personalization/display/change size of all items.

This should be easy to find for windows 8 users.  It was for me.  Be sure to do this before trying the AbsoluteMouseMode correction.
