Live 9.7.4 is asking me for my computer password every time I load a set or do anything.

I can't figure out why all of a sudden, Live asks me to enter my password every time I start now. I get this "Ableton Live Suite wants to make changes". What could be going on. Just started doing this recently. The only thing I did was update to OSX High Sierra but not sure it started at that exact time.

Thanks for any fixes or clues,

Greg

If you're encountering this error message, it's usually in combination with Max for Live. You need to download and install the latest version of Max for Live from your User Account. More information here: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001826584

    Thanks,

Curious why Ableton doesn't answer this question, or maybe they don't read these posts or don't know? It is frustrating.

This is happening to me to too ever since I upgraded to High Sierra. It seems it only happens when I have a M4L device in a set and I reopen that project. It doesn't happen with new projects but happens every time on other projects.

I have the same. I filled the password and after I load the project again it will ask for it again.

Same here.. Every time I open Live is asks for the password.  Is this the new standard? Will it be fixed... Kind of annoying...

Have the same problem with Mac OS 10.13.1 and Live Suite 9.7.5 (I waited to upgrade until High Sierra support was 'official.')

I thought resetting preferences would do the trick: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203538

Alas, it does not. Which is too bad, since this is usually cited as the way to fix the "x wants to make changes" launch problem, where "x" = "any app with that issue."

    Anyone find a fix yet?

Don't know if this is related, but I'll post anyways.

Same problem here after updating to High Sierra, I hope there will be a solution provided and that it is not inherent to High Sierra..

There is also this thing with my VST presets, some of them are not in alphabetic order anymore, which is very annoying..

Maybe you need to enter admin password once, so that Live can set-up some background stuff, like authorization or automatic update. Not a Mac user, so blind guessing here, but on Windows, it's like that.
