Live 8 / Windows 10

Has anyone by any chance tried to run Live 8 on Windows 10?

Any luck? 32 bit or 64 bit?

Thanks!

I paid hundreds of dollars for this program, and the fact that it doesn't work on a new operating system that thousands and thousands of people are using is completely unacceptable. I will NEVER buy another product from Ableton, and will I also tell every person I get the chance to that this company sucks. Fuck you Ableton!

Same problem for me. If you have a touch screen, go into device manger and disable the HID compliant touch screen and restart Ableton. You can re-enable screen once Ableton is running if required. Hopefully someone more gifted than myself can come up with a permanent fix.

Live 8.4.2 hangs on first launch. Once I force it to close and relaunch Live, I loads a new set but I am missing plugins.

I'm on Windows 10, Live 8.4.2 32bit (Live 8.4.2 64 bit reacts the same way).

I am on Windows 10 64 bit using Ableton 32 bit 8.4.7. Wouldn't open at all for me. I ran in compatibility mode for Windows 7 and ran compatibility test which allowed me to open it. But each time I launch Ableton it will hang first time, if I force close and reopen it will load.

I get an error message for stock windows audio drivers and latest Asio4all drivers saying that the driver is at fault and audio will be disabled, it boots in to Ableton and I reactivate the audio engine.

I was possible to run Ableton Live 8.4.2 64-bit under Windows 10 with NO touch-screen. The problem seems to be in dynamically loaded library (dll) "tiptsf.dll" on touch-screen devices used for touch-screen input under Windows 8 thru Windows 10. I try to further investigate this problem to see if is possible somehow to override it.

I know this is an old thread but I thought I'd try here first since it is all about Windows 10 and Live 8.4.2. Just wondering if anybody has noticed live 8.4.2 getting weird lately, like in the last couple of months. It had been working without any problems but recently I've been getting some pretty awful snap, crackle, and pop. Totally random. I tried running at different sample rates and buffers and every time I think I got it sorted out it happens again. Pretty sure it's not my Motu 828x. Now I'm suspecting that Live 8 is just 'showing it's age' so to speak. I know sooner or later it's bound to become unusable. They always manage to do that. Anybody else seeing this?

Why no support for windows 10? The Windows 8 compabillity mode worked for me but since the new windows 10 anniversary update it doesn't start anymore.it seems to have problems with the soundcard drivers and just freezes at the start. I paid so much for this money for this software and now your forcing me to update to 9. Im really disapointed in Ableton.
