How do I record an Impulse response with IR Measurement Device? - not working

I'm attempting to record an impulse response of my hardware reverb unit so that I can use it with convolution reverb.

I've followed this tutorial for the max for live IR Measurement Device and have had no luck:

https://ask.audio/articles/create-your-own-impulse-responses-in-ableton-live-9

I can hear the test tone button, but when I click save the IR file is always blank or it normalizes the noise floor and I get a a weird file.

Is something wrong with my routing?

Same problem, whenever I attempt to save the file it saves nothing but silence. I'm using sweep going into an analog reverb. Doesn't appear to be a routing issue as I'm able to record the reverb otherwise but I'd like to be able to take a proper impulse using the device.
