HELP: turntable set up

Hi!I'm new at this and I would really need some help. I decided to buy a turntable ( NUMARK TT 1625 pro)and I want to use it for sampling and schratching in ableton live 8.2.1 but I don't know how to set it up and if this will even work regardless of what devices I have: mixer NUMARK dm950,NATIVE INSTRUMENTS AUDIO DJ 4 sound card

please tell me how to connect this turntable with those devices so that I can record scratching and samples from vinyl in my ableton- if this is even possible and if it's not, what devices do I need to make that work?

Turntable connected to the mixer (red &white plugs). Make sure it is set to 'phono'.
Connect the mixer output to your audio interface.

Should also be in the manual.

No, but usually the connection is universal. So you should be able to use any standard cartridge and needle.

If you are scratching you should consider the M447 Scratch DJ Cartridge & Styli, IMHO they are the best .

Well, even though this is almost a year late since someone else decided to rehash it i'll chuck in 2 cents while i'm flicking thru

An alternative recommendation for scratch sampling could be a Numark CDX/HDX. These are considered "obsolete" now but the scratching qualities for a virtual platter are pretty good. Since the guy didn't know even how to hook them up I assume he is a beginner and these are great for a beginner because you can use a CD but have the feel ov vinal and you don't have to worry about destroying wax or styluses.
