Halion Symphonic Orchestra in Live 8

I am trying to use Steinberg's Halion Symphonic Orchestra as a VST plug-in in Live 8. The problem is, HSO opens only in single-channel mode in Live. When I open it in Cubase, I can choose the single-channel or the 16-channel option but Live only seems to see the single-channel version. I'm gonna need a lot of instances of HSO to write an orchestral arrangement. Anybody have any ideas on this?

I dont have any experiences with Halion but I use an Orchestral Plugin by edirol and perhaps the preferences are the same:

I just open a new midi-channel, move the Orchestra - Plugin there, afterwards I open another midi - channel. In this second midi channel in the window "midi to" I select the Orchestra - Plugin, and in the window below I can select wich channel of the plugin you want to control (1-16).

Does it work with Halion as well?

Yes, I can open the plugin GUI from the wrench icon but I can find nothing in its options that enables multiple outputs (when using it in Cubase, the "open all outputs" switch is in Cubase's VST launch window rather than in the plug-in itself). Maybe somebody at Steinberg can put me right. Thanks for trying to help anyway, Matthias.

Thanks for that, Matthias. Sorry, I didn't make myself very clear in the original question. The problem is that there is only one audio output operating in HSO. I can connect multiple midi tracks but all the audio from HSO is going through the first of its 16 stereo outputs. I can open as many midi tracks (and audio output tracks in Live) as I like but HSO has only one output functioning. For flexible mixing I need each instrument with its own audio output. In Cubase there's a little button in the VST instrument launch window that opens a menu with the option to "open all outputs" (this is for any multi-channel VST). Live doesn't have this and I'm left with just a single output.

Ah sorry so I misunderstood that. In most of the plugins I use I can enable multiple audio outputs somewhere in the options menu of the plugin's GUI. Is it possible to Open Halion's Graphical User Interface by clicking the small wrench on the closed plugin?
