Does Ableton Suite 8 have a Vocoder?

The title says it all :)

Does it? Or can I download one decent for free and use with Ableton?

Not only does it have one (the Vocoder is also part of Live 8), they also got some nice tutorials on how to use it:

Yes, it's called Vocoder and is under Audio Effects in Live's Device Browser.

Im a big fan of the vocoder, and been using it,as an EQ,as well as for weird glitch effects.

Mess around with the gate and Frequency settings too.

And of course ,the best bit is to automate various parameters, for even more creativity

    Thanks to you both!

I was about to buy a used TC Helicon VoiceTone Synth to be able to have a vocoder also wenn I do not want to use a PC in my setup, also because I was a bit afraid of the live usability of this Ableton vocoder in live performances. I know I can maybe program a midi controller so that I can "recall" the vocoder without taking the mouse and losing time (mmm, actually I am not sure I can. Can I? Or do I need all the "take the mouse and look for it" process?).

What can you tell me about this of the quick usability live?

David, what do you mean by automate some parameters?
