Defeating automatic channel selection when launching a clip?

Is there a way around this?

I have a softstep 2 mapped to record and launch clips, and meanwhile I want to put someone else (sound engineer) in charge of riding the levels and eq's of different channels using an APC40. So it's a huge bummer if they are trying to fine tune an eq on channel 1 and I hit play on a clip on channel 3 (with my foot), and the screen (which the engineer is screen sharing to) jumps automatically to channel 3. Does anyone know if there is a way to defeat this behavior of Live automatically selecting the channel that a clip is being launched in, so that it can just launch in the background while the engineer is able to keep working on whatever channel they happen to be on?

Thanks for any insight...

You can turn off track selection in Live's preferences under Record/Warp/Launch by setting "Select on Launch" to "Off".

Hope this is what you were looking for!
