Can I set the velocity for all beats in a loop the same without manually changing each one?

I have created a loop and the velocity is slightly different on each one.  Can I select all the beats and set them all to a velocity value?

Yes, if you have the Midi Clip with all the notes you recorded in different Velocity ranges and you would like to have the same value for all of them, you have to select all the notes in that clip, for One or more Patches within the instrument, and in the lower part of the screen where you can change de Velocity of the Notes, take all the way down those notes, to the very low, to 0 Value.  Then, you have to unselect all the notes, and reply the process but now you will be able to apply the new velocity altogether to the notes up to the new value you would like to get.

Hope it works fine for you!

If you would like to automate the process, you should take a look at the MIDI Effect, Velocity, read about it in the Ableton Live 8.2 Manual, and try to learn all the concept around Velocity FX, all the knobs and values, and you may find a fast way to automate the process you are doing manually.

At the same time, you should check Why you are recording notes with different Velocity Values, if you really want constant velocity. You can limit the velocity ranges before recording, no matter if its coming from a Midi Controller or an External Instrument.
