ableton live lite 9 freezes all the time on any windows pc i try it on

basically the title.

ive tried this on my own pc (GTX 750TI, 8GB 1.6GHZ ram, 3.5GHZ amd A10 7800 quad core, GTX 750TI, ableton installed to a 120GB ssd. using a 1TB harddrive for main storage, win8.1)

and on a friends pc (some old AMD card, 4GB 1.6GHZ ram, 2.6GHZ quad core intel processor, same SSD and HDD setup, win10)

and on 2 laptops (both win10), both fairly beefy. i dont know the exact specs of those laptops but they both run programs like fruityloops just fine.

each freeze lasts about a minute on my own pc, 2 minutes on my friends rig, and 1.5 minutes on both of those laptops.

freezes happen whenever the program actualy has to do something. although somehow i can still use a launchpad to play songs with it once i got through all the waiting of setting up the midi in and out.

im personally thinking this might just be an issue with ableton and windows, but i cant realy get any hackintosh/OSX virtual machine running on my pc due to my motherboard being some custom piece of crap by HP. im trying to fix a random apple mac mini i found at school the other day collecting dust but it refuses to download OSX 10.7.5 correctly.

is there anything im missing here? any settings i should look at?

and dont bother telling me to go to support.... people with live lite 9 dont get customer support.

thanks in advance

Mac or windows has nothing to do with it, that much I know. I use both, both work fine and always have.

Only thing I could think of is some sort of incompatibility with the systems, or simply a weird installing error.

I also read in the Live 9 lite install instructions that you should install it on the system drive (C:) for it to work correctly. So maybe try that on your own pc first. If I read your problem correctly, you installed Live onto an SSD drive. So that's probably not the system drive, right? I would start there :-)
