9 will not allow me to load a song from 8 -

So, 9 is installed and working really well, and my library from 8 is available and working well, but when I try to load my last tune from 8 I get a "A serious error has occurred, out of memory" message. Using a 1 TB drive and 80% of it is free, so I'm totally flummoxed.  Live 9 than crashes.

Any and all ideas/suggestions appreciated.  Thank you.

usually memory refers to your ram. how much ram are you running? Are you opening Ableton when you have other programs open? Have you tried opening with both 32 and 64 bit?

Hey, thanks for the response. Computer has 2.71 gig of RAM. I probably have had other programs running so will make sure I don't next time.

I have no idea how to open the file with different bit rates. So, if you see this and can lend a clue, that would be great.

    Regardless, thanks for answering.

Do you mean the audio clips you want to load into live have different bit rates and you don't know how to load them?

If so, you should be able to just drop each file into its respective scene track without a problem. Live calculates the bit rate according to time. It should not stretch or warp the audio if it is different bit or sample rate... Does that help you at all?

Sorry, should have been more clear. When you asked if I tried opening them with 32 and 64 I should have said "I have no idea what you mean, and if there's a way to open them using one or the other I have no clue how."

It never gets far enough that I can do anything with the clips. It just won't load at all without that error message showing up. It's frustrating as hell, especially as I really like the tune and want to finish it. The thought of having to recreate it with 9 makes me sick.

Thank you, again, for your help.
