5 Bar Loops with 1 Bar Global Quantisation??

When i record a 4 bar Loop in session view Ableton Live 9 adds a 5th bar at the end.

So i always need to use the mouse to fix this when im jamming..

I got Global Qunatization to 1 Bar (like i did in live 8)

I tried to trigger with mouse, keyboard and midi controller so its definately the software.

strange is that this only happes with the straight bars like 4 bar and 8 bar loops.

when i record 1,2 or 3 bars it works perfectly normal.

am i missing something in preferences that new??

That seems like a glitch. Mine has never done that. What kind of system are you running? Perhaps make sure that your clip launch mode is set to trigger or gate? check the launch quantization? check follow actions? Could a 1 bar count in be effecting the software timing? Those are the only things I could think. After that, I would do a reinstall.

Nice. Yeah. That will happen too. I suppose I should not have started worrying about your system before asking about the very basics.

omg!!! thank you elwood88! Looper was acting completely erratic for me, it would play the first bar of the loop and then jump to 6th bar etc. and I was going nuts trying to figure out what was wrong. Turns out I had a loop set in arrangement view. Turned the loop off and now everything is back to normal.
