Timo Preece (San Francisco, CA)

Timo Preece is an audio specialist, electronic musician, instructor, professional trainer, and consultant. He obtained his Ethnomusicology degree at UCLA and has done a number of recordings, projects and live performances with noteworthy individuals both in the U.S. and abroad. After spending five years working and performing in Tokyo, he's now based in San Francisco, where he teaches audio at two digital arts schools: Pyramind and Ex'pression College. In addition, Timo offers private lessons, one-on-one training, specialized workshops, and consulting for most aspects of sound production, including live performance and/or studio set-ups on most audio workstations. Currently, Timo has two music projects which both revolve around Ableton Live and advanced controller configurations: Lucid Mechanism, a stylistically expansive electronic band, and GravityTerminal, solo electronic music creation and live performance.
