New York User Group with Ben Neill

Electronic jazz and dub futurist Ben Neill makes a special evening appearance at the B&H Event Space to demonstrate his approach to live performance with Ableton and Apple technology. Through his use of interactive computer technologies, Neill creates a unique musical and visual experience, melding the worlds of electronica, jazz and visual media. Come join Ableton and Apple in uncovering Neill's improvisational one-man show, where he creates musical and visual collages with his self-designed "mutantrumpet," a hybrid electro-acoustic instrument. During this event, Neill will perform and demonstrate how his one-of-a-kind interface works with Ableton Live. He will also be joined by his visual collaborator, Bill Jones, for a demo of their interactive video performance techniques using Live and Modul8 VJ software.
