Your responsibilities

The new International Sales Account Manager will:

• Expand our international business through distributors, dealers and business partners in countries in which we expect significant growth in the coming years
• Work with distributors as partners, define sales strategies for each country and coordinate marketing and PR activities with partners, distributors and dealers
• Maintain relationships with key educational accounts and help develop Ableton's current initiatives in the education of our customers

Your Profile

The ideal candidate for this position will:

• Have at least five years' experience in sales, marketing or business development; ideally inside the music or software industry
• Be familiar with our flagship product, Ableton Live and/or other audio-software tools
• Display utmost professionalism in all communication and dealings with business partners
• Deliver consistent, finished results and be eager to improve both the results of your own work and the overall company performance
• Feel comfortable working with figures and be able to draw accurate conclusions from them
• Know how to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook effectively
• Communicate in excellent written and spoken English
• Stay effective, team-focused, structured, and organized under pressure
• Be customer-focused and experienced in working with customers as partners
• Be ready to relocate to Berlin

Job Description

Ableton is looking for an Interaction Designer. The position is based in our main office in Berlin-Mitte, Germany. Your job is to work with a cross-functional team on developing user interaction designs for Ableton's website and software applications and/or hardware surfaces.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and specify user interactions for Ableton's website and desktop applications and hardware surfaces in collaboration with developers, designers, writers and management staff
• Create and manage all related documentation and deliverables
• Coordinate closely with specialist teams during the technical planning, visual design, and implementation process
• Work with usability staff to translate findings from user research
• Stay informed of advances in interactive techniques, technologies and methods, and adapting to rapidly evolving industry space

Your Profile

• Advanced understanding of and experience with user-centered interaction design principles
• Strong ability to look at problems from user, designer and developer point of view
• Strong English writing skills, clear verbal communicator. German language skills a plus
• Professional experience in Information Design or Interaction Design for the Web, and/or desktop applications, and/or hardware surfaces
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Understanding of core web and application development concepts
• Strong knowledge of current user experience, usability, and accessibility standards, methods and best practices, and how to implement them
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and be proactive

Preferable qualifications:

• Ability to deliver interaction designs directly in HTML and CSS
• Web development skills and experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, human-computer interaction, psychology, graphic design, or related field

Job Description

You work very closely with our developers to ensure a high quality of our software. In particular, you perform exploratory testing alongside new developments, design and implement automated regression tests using in-house test automation tools, help preparing and conducting systematic usability and performance tests. In addition, you assist our technical support agents with extracting defect reports from customer communication and with reproducing reported issues in-house.
