Point Blank

Point Blank has been voted "Best Music Production & DJ School" for the last six consecutive years. Why? Well, the school prides itself on small classes and personalised teaching from music industry pros. Among the teaching staff are Grammy winners and songwriters with record sales in the millions, plus producers and remixers who've worked alongside the likes of Bjork, Massive Attack, New Order, Leftfield, Portishead and many others.

All Point Blank courses are accredited by the National Open College Network and have an emphasis on teaching students practical studio skills and industry awareness. Tutors are joined each term by guest speakers from record labels, publishers, management and other areas of the industry. Recent guests have included Felix Buxton from Basement Jaxx, Krafty Kuts, international DJ/producer Anne Savage, the manager behind The Streets and A&R representatives from Sony BMG and Atlantic Records. Point Blank welcomes students from all over the world each term. Many of them go on to enjoy success in the music industry, just as Tayo (Fabric/ BBC Radio One), DJ Dev (BBC 1Xtra), Ryan Shaw (Back to Basics) and Robin Banks (Kiss 100) have.

Point Blank Music College teaches a pair of intensive courses on Ableton Live that explore the software from the perspective of studio production, DJ techniques and live performance. Starting in 2008 the school will also offer two online course modules: Ableton Live Part 1 and Ableton Live Part 2.
