Your Profile

• At least 2 years job experience in the design and implementation of large and complex object-oriented software projects
• Willingness to relocate to Berlin, Germany
• A keen sense for the aesthetics of code, documentation, and user interfaces
• Thoroughness in all aspects of software development
• The ability and willingness to communicate in German and interact in a team,
• You should be self-motivated, results-oriented, hard-working, and easy-going

Job Description

Help realize the future of online musical collaboration. Ableton, a key innovator in the area of professional music software, serves hundreds of thousands of artists worldwide with state-of-the-art creative applications, and we have also set ourselves the goal of breaking records in the area of online applications.

As part of our excellent and agile team, you will develop a web application and an underlying framework that not only serves the website, but also connects our stand-alone application with the Internet and displays numerous internal and external communications and business processes. You will carry out sophisticated development tasks in Python using quick, clear and elegant code.

Your Profile

• At least 2 years job experience in the conception and realization of complex, object-oriented software projects
• Excellent knowledge of one of the modern object-oriented programming languages (preferably Python)
• Extensive appreciation of the aesthetics of code, documentation and the user interface
• Attention to detail with regards to all aspects of software development
• Good sense of the importance of security as it applies to the web
• Excellent knowledge in database design and programming
• Good skills in front-end web technologies (HTML, XML, CSS, XSL, JavaScript...)
• Strong team member and solid communication skills and excellent command of English
• Dedicated, independent, results-oriented and able to work under pressure
